Safety Precautions:

Set Up:
Select the appropriate die and punch tooling based on the desired bend angle and metal thickness.
Position the workpiece (sheet metal or metal plate) on the lower bed of the press brake.
Tooling Adjustment:
Adjust the tooling height and alignment to match the thickness of the metal and the desired bend angle. Proper tooling alignment is crucial for accurate bends.
Machine Settings:
Set the desired bend angle and bend length on the press brake's control panel.
Ensure that the back gauge, if available, is properly positioned to support the workpiece and control the bend depth.
Bend:
Start the press brake machine.
The upper ram, which holds the punch, will move downward and apply pressure to the workpiece. The metal will bend to the shape of the die.
Monitor the bending process to ensure the metal is bending correctly and to the desired angle.
Release:
Once the desired bend angle and length are achieved, release the pressure on the upper ram.
Carefully remove the bent workpiece from the press brake.
Inspection:
Inspect the bent metal piece to ensure it meets the required specifications in terms of angle, length, and quality.
Repeat:
If you have more bends to make, repeat the process for each bend, making sure to reposition the workpiece and adjust the tooling as needed.
Shutdown:
Turn off the press brake machine when finished.
Clean up the work area and return the tooling to its proper storage location.
